Welcome to Leonova Aviation™. Throughout these Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and all other legal documentation on this site, the terms "we", "us", and "our" refer to Leonova Aviation™. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, our digital services, and your purchase of products from our pilot shop. As Leonova Aviation™ expands its offerings, these Terms apply to all current and future services provided on our platform.

By accessing our website, creating an account, or completing any transaction, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use any of our services.

1. General Website Use and Account Policies

• 1.1. Website Access: Our website is accessible and viewable by anyone, anywhere it is available.
• 1.2. Account Creation and Age Restrictions: You must be at least 13 years of age to create a general account on our platform. We collect email addresses and account information to save your data to our servers; therefore, individuals under 13 are legally prohibited from creating an account. If we discover that an account has been created by or for a user under the age of 13, we will immediately terminate the account and delete all associated data without notice.
• 1.3. Account Responsibilities: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account. Leonova Aviation™ is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your login credentials.

2. The Checklist Builder & Printing Services

This section applies specifically to the use of our online Checklist Builder (accessible via web and mobile app) and our custom checklist printing services.

• 2.1. Builder Eligibility: You must be at least 16 years of age (the standard minimum age for flight training) to use the Checklist Builder tool. If you are between the ages of 16 and 18, you represent and warrant that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
• 2.2. Intended Use: You agree to use our checklist builder and services only for lawful aviation purposes. The Checklist Builder is designed exclusively to be used by licensed pilots, student pilots in active training, or recognized aviation professionals.
• 2.3. Prohibited Uses: Our custom checklist tools are not intended for novelty use by the general public. Gifting or lending a custom-made checklist to another pilot is strictly prohibited and inherently dangerous, as the recipient may mistakenly believe they are using an official, manufacturer-approved document rather than a customized, unverified print.
• 2.4. Assumption of Risk: Aviation is an inherently demanding field. The ultimate responsibility for flight safety, regulatory compliance, and aircraft operation rests solely with the pilot in command. Because the Checklist Builder allows for the custom creation of data, Leonova Aviation™ claims no responsibility or liability for the accuracy, completeness, or safety of the checklists you generate and print.
• 2.5. Custom Print Refunds: Due to the highly personalized nature of our printed checklist services, we do not offer refunds for custom checklists. If your custom checklist arrives with a manufacturing defect or an error made solely on our behalf during printing, we will provide a free replacement.

3. Pilot Shop and Future Services

This section applies to purchases made from our physical pilot shop, including pilot gear and non-custom merchandise.

• 3.1. General Merchandise: All non-custom products sold by Leonova Aviation™ are subject to availability. We stand by the quality of our gear.
• 3.2. Returns & Refunds: For physical gear and non-custom items purchased from our shop, returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase for items in original, unused condition. Please refer to our Returns & Refunds tab for full processing details.

4. Subscriptions, Verification, and Badges

This section applies to users participating in our premium subscription tiers or utilizing the Credential Verification Hub.

• 4.1. Subscription Tiers: We offer premium account subscriptions (such as "Pro Aviator" and "Command Elite") that unlock priority processing, free shipping, or other platform benefits. Subscription fees are billed automatically via Stripe and can be canceled at any time through the Accounts Hub.
• 4.2. Credential Hub Verification: Subscribers may verify their real-world aviation status (e.g., Student Pilot, Licensed Pilot, Flight Instructor, ATP, Aviation Mechanic, or Flight School) to unlock specific ecosystem badges and discounts. Falsifying, tampering with, or misrepresenting aviation credentials is a severe violation of these Terms and will result in immediate account termination.
• 4.3. Modification of Benefits: The privileges, shop discounts, and specific features associated with any subscription tier or verified badge are provided entirely at our discretion. Leonova Aviation™ reserves the right to modify, add, reduce, or revoke any of these benefits at any time, without prior notice.

5. Payments, Billing, and Taxes

• 5.1. Payment Processing: All payments processed through our website—whether for custom checklist printing, subscriptions, or shop purchases—are processed securely via our third-party payment gateway, Stripe.
• 5.2. Authorization and Third-Party Terms: By checking out, you authorize Leonova Aviation™ and Stripe to charge your selected payment method. Any overdue balances, monthly installment plans, or alternative payment methods are managed entirely by Stripe. We encourage you to review Stripe’s Terms of Service for questions regarding specific payment processing rules.
• 5.3. Taxes: State sales tax is calculated and charged based on the final delivery address of your order. This amount will vary depending on your local jurisdiction.

6. Geographic Restrictions and Shipping

Currently, Leonova Aviation™ strictly serves the United States (including all U.S. states and territories).

• By placing an order, you agree that you will not request the delivery of items or services to locations outside of the U.S.
• International services or shipping are only available through prior special request and direct approval from our team.

7. Limitation of Liability

By using our services, you explicitly acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in our Liability tab. Our digital tools and physical products are provided to assist you, but they do not replace formal flight training, an approved Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM), or a Pilot Operating Handbook (POH). Our digital tools are provided "as is" and "as available," and we are not liable for direct or indirect damages resulting from their use.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. This policy outlines exactly what data we collect, how we protect it, and the strict limits we place on how it is used.

1. The Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide you with a seamless and functional experience across our website and applications.

• Account & Service Information: When you create an account, we collect basic details such as your name, email address, and saved checklists.
• Order Information: Our servers securely store the data that connects your account to our services, including shipping addresses, order numbers, and transaction details for checklist services and pilot shop purchases.
• Credential Verification Data: If you choose to verify your pilot or mechanic status through our Credential Hub, you will be prompted to scan your ID or certificate via your device's camera.
• Website Usage Data (Analytics): If your cookie preferences allow it, we collect anonymous usage data regarding how you interact with our website to help us improve performance. This includes page clicks, buttons pressed, and general engagement metrics strictly confined to your activity on our site.

2. How We Use Your Information

We draw a strict line between your personal account data and our website analytics.

• Functional Account Use: The personal data connected to your account (including your saved checklists and order history) is used solely for the functional operation of our services and apps. We use your data to provide and improve our services, process your orders, and communicate with you about your account. Internally, our team only accesses your name, email address, and specific order numbers strictly for functional purposes, such as fulfilling your order and providing customer support.
• AI Identity Verification: To verify your aviation credentials, our system temporarily processes your live camera feed or photo using OpenAI's GPT-4o API. We do not save, store, or log these images on our own servers. Images are transmitted securely to OpenAI solely for real-time validation. By using the verification feature, you automatically agree to OpenAI's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Please refer to their policies regarding how API data is handled and their data retention practices.
• UI & Experience Optimization: The anonymous usage data we collect from website interactions is used exclusively to optimize your user experience, improve our user interface (UI), and make site navigation better. We do not attach this usage tracking to your personal identity or account information.

3. Data Storage & Infrastructure Partners

To keep Leonova Aviation running safely and efficiently, we partner with industry-leading infrastructure providers. Our website is hosted and powered by Netlify, our backend database is managed by Neon, and our cloud operations and storage are routed through Cloudflare R2. While these companies do not actively take, sell, or use your personal data for their own purposes, they securely host the data and may process operational logs to ensure system reliability and security. By using our platform, you acknowledge that your data flows through these trusted services.

4. Opting Out & Data Preferences

We respect your right to control your personal data. Under privacy laws, you have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information and to manage your tracking preferences.

We do not sell your personal data in the traditional sense. We strictly use Google Analytics to understand site traffic and improve our services. You can adjust your consent for this tracking at any time below, and changes are saved automatically:

Aviation is an inherently demanding field. Our digital tools and physical products are provided to assist you, but they do not replace formal flight training or official documentation.

1. Pilot in Command (PIC) Responsibility

The Pilot in Command holds ultimate responsibility for the safe operation of the aircraft at all times. Leonova Aviation™ provides checklist building tools and gear as supplementary aids. They are not a substitute for an approved Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM) or Pilot Operating Handbook (POH).

2. Custom Checklist Services

• Supplemental Use & POH Verification: This checklist is a custom-manufactured supplemental tool and does not replace the official Pilot's Operating Handbook (POH) or Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM). You agree to build this checklist in accordance with official documentation.
• Content Liability: Leonova Aviation™ is not liable for the final content of your custom order. You are solely responsible for the items you have selected or omitted. You acknowledge that missing critical procedures or adding non-standard items may cause operational distractions.
• Upon-Receipt Verification: You assume full responsibility to verify the physical checklist upon delivery and prior to first flight. You must confirm that no data was lost, omitted, or rendered illegible due to printing errors.
• Production Guarantee: Leonova Aviation™ stands by the physical quality of the build. Manufacturing defects such as delamination or heavy lamination wrinkles qualify for a free replacement, which will be dispatched at no extra cost via your originally selected shipping speed.
• Final Sale & Payments: Due to the custom-manufactured nature of these checklists, all sales are final and returns are not accepted. However, you may contact support@leonovaaviation.com immediately after ordering to request a cancellation or modification if production has not yet begun.

3. Third-Party Manufacturing

We do not manufacture the third-party pilot gear sold in our shop. Therefore, we are not responsible for inherent product defects or ongoing manufacturer issues regarding those items. However, to ensure your ultimate satisfaction, we will happily replace broken or defective products even if the fault is not on our end.

• Shipping Damage & Loss: We will gladly cover and replace any damage or loss caused directly by shipping and transit at no extra cost to you.
• Returns: We accept returns for physical pilot gear within 30 days of purchase for items in their original, unused condition. Please refer to the Returns & Refunds tab for more information.

4. "As-Is" Checklist Builder

Our online Checklist Builder is provided "as is" and "as available" strictly as a web tool to format and order physical checklist prints. Leonova Aviation™ is not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or any direct or indirect damages resulting from inaccuracies in the text you input or the final printed layout you approve.

1. Our Trademarks

We own our trademarks and have filed them with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). "Leonova Aviation™" and our associated logos are trademarks of our company. You may not use our brand assets in any way that implies a false partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement.

2. Website Assets & Imagery

We own all custom icons, images, and visual content on our website, except where explicitly noted (such as third-party open-source elements). Unauthorized downloading, reproduction, or redistribution of our proprietary website assets is strictly prohibited.

3. Permitted Use

If you are an affiliate, journalist, or partner, you may use our name and logo strictly to refer to our services, provided you link back to our official website and do not alter the appearance of our logos.

Returns & Refunds

1. Custom Checklist Prints

• Final Sale: Due to the highly personalized and custom-manufactured nature of our printed checklists, all sales are final and we do not offer refunds.
• Free Replacements: If your custom checklist arrives with a manufacturing defect (such as delamination, heavy lamination wrinkles, or physical printing errors made solely on our behalf), we will provide a free replacement. Replacements are processed and shipped at no extra cost to you using your originally selected shipping speed.
• Order Cancellations: You may request to cancel or modify a custom order only if production has not yet begun. Please contact our support team immediately after ordering to check your order status.

2. Pilot Gear & Physical Shop Items

• 30-Day Returns: For physical, non-custom pilot gear purchased from our shop, we accept returns within 30 days of the original purchase date. Items must be returned in their original, unused condition with all tags and packaging intact to qualify for a refund.
• Shipping Damage & Loss: If your physical gear is lost or arrives damaged as a direct result of transit, we will replace the affected items at no additional cost to you.

3. Initiating a Return or Claim
